Pergolide Mesylate in Parkinson's Disease: Anopen Clinical Trial

Abstract
|

|
Sixteen patints with Parkinson's disease who had taken either levodopa plus bromocriptine (thirteen) or levodopa alone (three) were treated in an open-label trial of pergolide with levodopa for 3 months.
The improvement of parkinsonian symptoms was noticeable in terms of shortening of "of ftime" and relieving dystonia on levodopa ith pergolide. We thought that the therapeutic effect may be obtainagle in a patient whofailed to have satisfactory or
sustained improvement with other dopamine agonists.
